My work on media and cultural memory centres on Indonesia and the Dutch East Indies and has, amongst others, been published in the peer-reviewed journals Journal of Migration History (2022), M/C Journal (202), and Southeast Asian Media Studies (2020) as well as in the volumes Animals in Dutch Travel Writing (Leiden University Press, 2023) and De postkoloniale spiegel (Leiden University Press, 2021).
